Digitization Support

The library provides Teachers College members with the equipment and technical support necessary to digitally create or duplicate their writing and research materials. Students, faculty, and staff can convert their authored material into more usable and accessible forms, including its permanent storage in PocketKnowledge, Teachers College's institutional repository.

Patrons who visit the library can digitize materials at a self-service scanner, with auto-feed and flatbed options. Library staff members are available for assistance with questions concerning the production of digital material, creation and management of PocketKnowledge accounts, and other related needs. Scanners are available on a walk-in basis.

Faculty may opt to drop off materials for library staff to digitize, and/or work with staff on longer range projects to strengthen the institutional repository.

For personally-authored, educational video content on VHS tapes, the library offers a special digitization and delivery service. Contact us via a Support Request to schedule your project. We schedule your project and alert you when we make your videos available exclusively on Vialogues.com. We create a private Vialogue (only you can access it), but you are able to share it with others. For more information, please see Vialogues Help resources.
