Finding Literature Reviews

Certain databases allow you to limit a search by document type. Some among them are:

Using the Advanced Search feature, you can select “Literature Review” from the Document Type menu.

You might have more success, however, searching “literature review,” OR “review of the literature,” OR “review of literature” in the “TI Title” field.

Choose the fielded search option on the left-hand side of the page. Within this page use the “Limit To” tool and limit to “Methodology.” Then choose “Literature Review” from the menu.

Using the Advanced Search feature, you can select “Information Analyses” from the Document Type menu. This heading encompasses literature reviews.

  • Also try searching Pocket Knowledge for “literature review.” You will turn up some literature reviews contributed by members of the TC community.
