Student access to incomplete courses in Blackboard

A common problem we have noticed at the start of every semester involves students trying to make up an incomplete from a previous semester in Blackboard.

Often, the problem is because a student registers for the class again, then drops it (erroneously). The way a student should make up an incomplete in Blackboard is by requesting the instructor manually add her/him -- not registering for the class via Banner (registering would mean they are retaking the course and having to pay tuition).

If a student has erred by registering for the course then dropping it, it will not be possible for the instructor to add the student (a technical limitation). In these cases, please submit a Support Request to the library with appropriate documentation (i.e., Blackboard course ID, student UNI, instructor name, semester the course was taken).
