Dr. Noel Tshiani will present his economic development plan for the Democratic Republic of Congo. After several years of wars, conflicts, unstable history, corruptions, substandard performance of its leaders, the international community's invasion, and a human disaster, which is regarded as the worst humanitarian calamity since World War II, it seems like nowhere in the world has the mismanagement of abundant resources manifested itself more visibly than in the DRC. Dr. Tshiani, a native of DRC, proposes a way out this crisis. He has designed a Congolese Economic Recovery Plan to get his country going again.
Dr. Noel K. Tshiani is a World Bank Country Manager. He has been a World Bank professional staff for the last sixteen years. During a year of sabbatical in 2007, he served as President of Companie Financiere d'Investissement et du Credit, LLC. Prior to this position, he worked for the World Bank as a senior task team leader, and served as World Bank Resident Representative in Chad from 2004 to 2006. He had previously been an international lending officer with Citibank and JPM Chase for eight years. Dr. Tshiani completed the New Managers Leadership Program at the Graduate Business School at Harvard University in Boston-Massachusetts, and holds a Doctorate in Economics with specialization in Banking and Finance from Universite de Paris IX- Dauphine in France, a Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA) with concentration in Banking and Financial Markets from Adephi University in New York, and a Master's Degree in Economics from Universite de Liege in Belgium.
