The Smith Learning Theater: An Out-of-this-World Introduction, starting Tuesday, 10/3The Library is pleased to announce that the official opening of the Smith Learning Theater is scheduled for October! Located on the 4th floor of the library, the Smith Learning Theater underscores our commitment to producing unconventionally collaborative, custom-designed, authentic learning experiences that are playful, valuable, and inspiring.
During the first week of October we will preview the opening event, An Out-of-this-World Learning Theater Experience, an immersive learning experience that welcomes you to the Library's newest learning environment -- and takes you beyond.
We hope that students, faculty, staff, and other members of the Teachers College community will be able to join us for one of these exciting events. Just go to the Learning Theater events page to get your ticket.
Please note that only those with tickets will be admitted, and the door to the theater closed promptly at show time, so be sure to arrive on time, if not a few minutes early.
During the official opening week of October 9th there will continuous offerings of the introductory experience, which also will be offered throughout the fall semester.
Thanks to all of the students, faculty members, and staff who contributed ideas and time to help to make the Learning Theater a reality. A very special thanks to Camilla and George Smith whose generous gift made the Learning Theater possible.
