"Kambujo" was born after three musicians with different musical backgrounds and experiences came together to share a common goal: to create and re-create on the basis of Peruvian music and jazz. Therefore Kambujo became a mean of expression and appraisal of their own living culture that is nurtured and transformed over time.
Angelica Tran is a master’s student in the Arts Administration program at Teachers College, Columbia University. She has been playing the clarinet for about 15 years, and she enjoys sharing her passion for music with others. Before coming to TC, she taught music in Orlando, Florida. While studying music at Florida State University, Angelica performed with various ensembles around campus, and continued to perform in the community thereafter. She is currently a member of the Columbia University Orchestra.
