Open House, Tuesday, 9/1- Wednesday, 9/2

Welcome new and returning students, faculty, staff members! The Gottesman Libraries invites you to attend our Open House on Tuesday and Wednesday, September 1st and 2nd. Come and enjoy delicious food and lively entertainment; take a physical, audio, or virtual tour; experience Pocket Knowledge, the social archive and digital repository, or the Wii for educational games; chat with our staff, or just stop in to see what's happening. We are offering:

• Library Tours, every hour on the hour from 12 noon until 7pm, starting from the 1st Floor Services Desk;



• E-Resource tours, offering in-person demonstrations of highly pertinent databases, every five minutes from the kiosks at the entrance to the Library;



• “Big Brain Academy” and other Wii software to showcase games for educational purposes, including vocabulary, music, sports, science, and more, near the First Floor Services Desk;



• Grand Slam Tennis, U.S. Open, aired live, with new recreational reading, Everett Café;



• Teacher as Observer and Guide: Feature film and discussion, 9/2, 4-5pm, 103 Russell;



• Latin Jazz, with the Angelo Miranda Sextet, 9/2, 6-7:30pm, Library Atrium, adjacent to the Café.
