Schedule a Special Event in the Gottesman Libraries
The primary purpose of the Gottesman Libraries facilities is to provide study space and work space for members of the Teachers College community. Please use our Online Reservation System to check availability and reserve a Group Room or Classroom in Russell Hall.
Special events are welcome in the library facilities, but they must be planned to minimize disruption and inconvenience for student and faculty users of the library. Spaces in the library that are available by special request include the Second Floor Collaboration Space (seating up to 100 people) and the Third Floor Conference Suite (seating up to 80 people).
The Third Floor Conference Suite is comprised of two classrooms (305 and 306) and the adjacent group rooms as "break-out" spaces. All rooms can be configured with special furniture and technology for events in consultation with library staff. When arranged in advance, staff can also provide dedicated event support to make your event run smoothly.
Please download the Special Event Application to make a request. Please review the attached policies pertaining to special events, complete the event questionnaire, and return it via email to firstname.lastname@example.org to initiate your request to schedule a special event.
If you have questions, please contact us.
Special requests via our application are due by August 10 for the fall semester, December 10 for the spring semester, and April 10 for the summer terms. Faculty will be notified at least one week prior to the beginning of the semester if the library is able to host their course. After those dates, special requests are handled on a rolling basis.
