Artivism's Annual Spring/Summer Exhibition presents, Give & Receive: From the Virtual to the Real. Move away from your device and the "send" button. Go retro!

Through your artwork, share your thoughts about the status quo of the world as we begin 2025.

Create a postcard which is original art, such as a short story, poem, photography, message, poem, collage, or drawing. Then send it using "snail mail" to connect with other artivists worldwide.

All media will be accepted, keeping in mind that it should be in a postcard format and mailed via postal service.

A complimentary part of this exhibition is that, upon conclusion, all works will be distributed among participants, creating the opportunity to connect and continue the exchange.

Virtual submissions will not be accepted. Upon submitting an entry, the artist agrees their artwork will be exchanged with other exhibition participants.

Mail Your Postcard by March 14th, 2025 to:

P.O. Box 604533

Bayside, New York

11360-604533

Exhibition dates begin April 24th, 2025 at Adelphi University, followed by the  Gottesman Libraries in late May.

Artivism: The Power of Art for Social Transformation aims to generate community through multidisciplinary teamwork for a more dignified and meaningful coexistence. The overarching goal is to nurture confidence in taking continuous action from wherever we are by means of reciprocity.

Artivism: The Power of Art for Social Transformation is jointly sponsored by Adelphi University, Sing for Hope, and the Gottesman Libraries. A movement with committed social artivists, Artivism: The Power of Art Social Transformation, grew out of Illuminations of Social Imagination: Learning From Maxine Greene, (Dio Press, 2019), edited by Teachers College alumni Courtney Weida and Carolina Cambronero-Varela, and Dolapo Adeniji-Neill, of Adelphi University.
