At this unprecedented moment in TC history, students more than ever need to be able to identify and gain access to online books, journals, and databases, and our objective is to help them make optimal use of the electronic (and other) resources available to them and to acquaint them with support and service options the library is ready to provide.
We hope you will consider inviting a librarian to visit your virtual classroom to share with your students information on the full range of key electronic and print resources available to them; on their means to request new materials not available through our library or Columbia University Libraries; and on how best to deploy search strategies and techniques foundational to their academic work.
Our meeting with you and your students can be structured to focus on specific topics, issues, or resources, according to your preference, for whatever length of time best suits your needs. We are also happy to arrange virtual tours and orientation sessions at times alternative to your regular class meetings, and in addition we offer a consultation service designed to address students' individual research needs on a one-on-one basis.
If you are interested in arranging a Zoom library information session, please complete and submit the Request a Library Information Session form, and we’ll be in touch with you as soon as possible.
