Children’s Literature Comprehensive Database holds the largest collection of children's and young adult book reviews in the reviewing industry. This resource also offers thematic lists, award listings, and curriculum tools, including lexiles, accelerated reader and reading counts RMPs.

 

ComDisDome *

ComDisDome is an indexing and abstracting tool covering the communications disorders literature, with a focus on speech-language pathology and audiology. In one convenient location, the database will quickly identify and connect you to reliable information from multiple sources in your field, including journal articles and books, along with access to profiles of researchers working in this area.

  • Academic Search Premier

    This multidisciplinary database provides active full text for more than 3,100 journals, including active full text for nearly 2,750 peer-reviewed journals. In addition to the full text, this database offers indexing and abstracts for more than 8,500 journals. The collection offers information in nearly every area of academic study including: computer sciences, engineering, physics, chemistry, language and linguistics, arts & literature, medical sciences, ethnic studies, and many more.

This authoritative file contains full text for many of the most used journals in the CINAHL index, with no embargo. CINAHL Plus with Full Text is the core research tool for all areas of nursing and allied health literature. Full-text coverage dates back to 1937.

 

  • EBSCO eBook Collection

    Formerly known as Netlibrary, eBooks on EBSCOhost is a searchable collection of current electronic books from university and commercial publishers, as well as electronic books in the public domain.

 

  • Education Full Text (Wilson)

    Education Full Text™ provides full text of articles from over 350 journals as far back as 1996, in addition to indexing of over 770 periodicals dating back to 1983. Content includes in-depth coverage of special education, with over 50 journals dedicated to this important topic, and more than 100,000 controlled and cross-referenced names of educational tests. Subject coverage includes adult education, continuing education, literacy standards, multicultural/ethnic education, teaching methods, and much more.

 

  • Education Index Retrospective: 1929-1983

    Education Index Retrospective™: 1929-1983 indexes more than 800 periodicals and yearbooks, and cites approximately 850,000 articles, including book reviews. The database provides information on societal trends affecting education, including segregation, multiculturalism, feminism, and economic developments. Subject coverage includes adult education, continuing education, literacy standards, multicultural/ethnic education, teaching methods, and much more.

 

  • Education Research Complete

    Education Research Complete is the definitive online resource for education research. This massive file offers the world's largest and most complete collection of full-text education journals. It is a bibliographic and full-text database covering scholarly research and information relating to all areas of education. Topics covered include all levels of education from early childhood to higher education, and all educational specialties, such as multilingual education, health education, and testing.

 

ERIC, the Education Resource Information Center, provides access to education literature and research. The database provides access to information from journals included in the Current Index of Journals in Education and Resources in Education Index. Content includes journal articles, research reports, curriculum and teaching guides, conference papers, dissertations and theses, and books dating back to 1966.

 

  • MEDLINE

    MEDLINE provides authoritative medical information on medicine, nursing, dentistry, veterinary medicine, the health care system, pre-clinical sciences, and much more. Created by the National Library of Medicine, MEDLINE uses MeSH (Medical Subject Headings) indexing with tree, tree hierarchy, subheadings, and explosion capabilities to search citations from over 5,400 current biomedical journals. This database abstracts and indexes the international literature in linguistics and related disciplines in the language sciences. The database covers all aspects of the study of language including phonetics, phonology, morphology, syntax, and semantics. Complete coverage is given to various fields of linguistics including descriptive, historical, comparative, theoretical, and geographical linguistics. 

 

  • Mental Measurements Yearbook with Tests in Print *

    Mental Measurements Yearbook with Tests In Print, produced by the Buros Institute of Mental Measurements at the University of Nebraska, provides users with a comprehensive guide to over 3,000 contemporary testing instruments. Tests in Print (TIP) serves as a comprehensive bibliography to all known commercially available tests that are currently in print in the English language. TIP provides vital information to users, including test purpose, test publisher, in-print status, price, test acronym, intended test population, administration times, publication date(s), and test author(s).

 

  • OmniFile Full-Text Mega

    Designed for professional educators, this database provides a highly specialized collection of nearly 520 high-quality education journals, including more than 350 peer-reviewed titles. This database also contains more than 200 educational reports. Professional Development Collection is the most comprehensive collection of full-text education journals in the world.

Emerald Education eJournal Collection

Emerald Education eJournal Collection provides access to over 300 journals in 13 subject areas: accounting, finance, and economics; business and management; education; engineering; health and social care; HR, learning and organization studies; information and knowledge management; library and information science; marketing; operations, logistics, and quality control; property management and built environment; public policy and environmental management; and tourism and hospitality management.

 

Emerald Management 120

Emerald Management 120 features journals that are indexed by Thomason Reuters (ISI) and Scopus, with content selected for original contribution to the field. It provides access to high-quality peer-reviewed articles from 120 journals across 24 management subject areas.

Gale Academic OneFile

Gale Academic OneFile provides millions of articles from over 17,000 scholarly journals and other authoritative sources—including thousands of podcasts and transcripts from NPR and CNN as well as videos from BBC Worldwide Learning.

 

Gale In Context: Opposing Viewpoints

Gale In Context: Opposing Viewpoints is the premier online resource covering today's hottest social issues, from capital punishment to immigration to marijuana. This cross-curricular resource supports science, social studies, current events, and language arts.

 

Gale OneFile: Communications and Mass Media

Gale OneFile: Communications and Mass Media brings together information found in more than 400 journals, and provides access to nearly 3 million articles on all aspects of the communications field; including advertising, public relations, linguistics, and literature.

 

Gale OneFile: Diversity Studies

Gale OneFile: Diversity Studies explores cultural differences, contributions, and influences in the global community. This collection includes more than 2.7 million articles from 150 journals, updated daily. Provides subject coverage for gender and women’s studies, anthropology, western civilization, and sociology.

 

Gale OneFile: Fine Arts

The Fine Arts & Music Collection is a periodical database that supports the study of drama, music, art history, and filmmaking. The collection provides access to more than 250 journals covered in databases such as the Wilson Art Index and the Répertoire International de Littérature Musicale (RILM) index.

 

Gale OneFile: Health and Medicine

Gale OneFile: Health and Medicine is the perfect resource for up-to-date information on the complete range of healthcare topics and features more than 2,500 embargo-free, full-text periodicals, reference books, pamphlets, and hundreds of videos demonstrating medical procedures and live surgeries.

 

Gale OneFile: Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine

Gale OneFile: Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine provides access to academic journals and magazines covering the fields of physical therapy, physical fitness, and sports medicine. Gale OneFile: Vocations and Careers

OneFile: Vocations and Careers provides access to journals and magazines that aid users in researching a vocation, finding an appropriate institution of learning, job searching, and maintaining a career. The database offers hundreds of current and applicable periodicals, from general career guides to highly specialized industry journals.

 

Google Scholar *

Google Scholar provides a simple way to broadly search for scholarly literature. From one place, you can search across many disciplines and sources: articles, theses, books, abstracts, and court opinions, from academic publishers, professional societies, online repositories, universities, and other websites.

 

HathiTrust Digital Library *

Founded in 2008, HathiTrust is a not-for-profit collaborative of academic and research libraries preserving 17+ million digitized items. HathiTrust offers reading access to the fullest extent allowable by U.S. copyright law, computational access to the entire corpus for scholarly research, and other emerging services based on the combined collection. HathiTrust members steward the collection the largest set of digitized books managed by academic and research libraries — under the aims of scholarly, not corporate, interests.

 

JSTOR Arts & Sciences

JSTOR provides access to more than 12 million scholarly academic journal articles, books, and primary sources in 75 disciplines, categorized under Area Studies, Arts, Business and Economics, History, Humanities, Law, Medicine & Allied Health, Science & Ma\thematics, and Social Sciences.  It can be browsed by subject, by title, by collections, and by publisher.

LearnTechLib

LearnTechLib is an online resource for aggregated, peer-reviewed research on the latest developments and applications in learning and technology.  It encompasses 30+ years and 135,000+ peer-reviewed full-text documents and abstracts of published international journal articles, conference papers from 265,000+ leading authors, and additional multimedia-rich resources. Including journal articles, conference papers, e-books, reports, dissertations, videos, keynote speeches, presentation slides, and webinars.

 

Linguistics and Language Behavior Abstracts (LLBA) *

Linguistics & Language Behavior Abstracts (LLBA) abstracts and indexes the international literature in linguistics and related disciplines in the language sciences. The database covers all aspects of the study of language including phonetics, phonology, morphology, syntax, and semantics. Complete coverage is given to various fields of linguistics including descriptive, historical, comparative, theoretical, and geographical linguistics. The database provides abstracts of journal articles and citations to book reviews drawn from over 1,500 serials publications and also provides abstracts of books, book chapters, and dissertations.

 

National Council of Teachers of English Journals

This collection of NCTE publications includes the full-text content of the journals College Composition and Communication, College English, English Education, English Journal, English Leadership Quarterly, Forum, Language Arts, Research in the Teaching of English, Talking Points, Teaching English in the Two-Year College, and Voices from the Middle.

 

ProQuest Dissertations & Theses Full Text

ProQuest Dissertations and Theses: Global (PQDTGlobal) is the world's most comprehensive collection of full-text dissertations and theses. As the official digital dissertations archive for the Library of Congress and as the database of record for graduate research, PQDTGlobal includes millions of searchable citations to dissertations and theses from 1861 to the present day together with over a million full-text dissertations that are available for download in PDF format. Over 2.1 million titles are available for purchase as printed copies. The database offers full text for most of the dissertations added since 1997 and strong retrospective full-text coverage for older graduate works. It also includes PQDT UK & Ireland content.

 

Psychotherapy.net (videos)

Psychotherapy.net is a searchable database of streaming videos on psychotherapy, covering numerous approaches, issues, populations, and experts.

 

R2 Digital Library

The R2 Digital Library is a web-based database available from Rittenhouse Book Distributors. It offers fully integrated and searchable medical, nursing, and allied health sourcebook content from key health science publishers, on a web-based platform. 

 

SAGE Education Full-Text Collection

This subset of the SAGE journals collection can be accessed through the Browse feature by selecting Social Sciences & Humanities as a Discipline and then Education as a Subject.  The SAGE Education Full-Text Collection comprises the contents of 139 education-related journals, from About Campus to Young Exceptional Children, and includes major research-based journals,  including the Review of Educational Research and the Review of Research in Education, in addition to prestigious scholarly and practice-oriented education publications across disciplines.

 

SAGE Premier 2017

SAGE Premier collections are designed to provide enhanced access to numerous individual journals; they are the largest journal package offered by SAGE and include international, peer-reviewed journals, including many high-impact research titles, published on behalf of over 400 scholarly and professional societies.  These collections are searchable by discipline within Discipliner Hubs (Humanities & Social Sciences and Science, Technical, Medical), which allow users to explore the full range of SAGE journal portfolios in each of the featured subject areas, including special issues and most-read articles. Our Hubs also feature links to SAGE Books and Digital Library content.  

 

SIRS Researcher *

SIRS Researcher is designed to help novice researchers understand the major issues of the day.  Users may explore issues within the categories of Trending Topics and Editors’ Picks, or by selecting from the “Need help choosing a topic?” section, which includes modules for Business & Economics; Civil Rights & Liberties; Communication & Technology; Crime & Punishment; Drugs, Health & Wellness; Environment & Science; Ethics; School, Family & Youth; and World Culture & Politics; and All Leading Issues.

 

Social Sciences Full Text

Social Sciences Full Text™ provides access to a wide assortment of the most important English-language journals published in the social sciences. This resource provides detailed indexing for over 625 periodicals dating back as far as 1983—nearly 400 of which are peer-reviewed.

 

Sports Medicine & Education Index

This database features a wide variety of content, ranging from physical education curricula, to sports medicine, to dance. Other coverage includes sport law, kinesiology, motor learning, recreation, standardized fitness tests, sports equipment, business and marketing, coaching and training, and sport sociology/psychology. Health education and physical therapy are also covered. 

 

SpringerLINK - NERL

This collection of Springer publications provides researchers with access to millions of scientific documents from journals, books, series, protocols, reference works, and proceedings.  Within Education, there are over 211, 000 items within a variety of content types including chapters, articles, reference work entries, books, conference papers, book series, reference works, conference proceedings, and journals.

 

Taylor & Francis Education Collection

This education component of the Taylor & Francis Online collection provides access to over 385,000 journal articles and the contents of 270 education-related Taylor & Francis journals.

Comprising (as of September 2021) 4,663,000+ articles, this collection of 2,913 Taylor & Francis journals is searchable, by journal and by article, by a variety of subjects, including behavior sciences, bioscience, communication studies, computer science, education, food science and technology, global development, health and social care, humanities, information science, language and literature, mathematics and statistics, museum and heritage studies, social sciences, sports and leisure, and many more.

 

Teachers College Digital Collections *

The Teachers College Digital Collections feature distinctive holdings that represent institutional history and scholarship in education, psychology, and the health professions. It comprises the historical records of Teachers College and publications or works in all formats by our faculty, students, and staff. The collection offers researchers the opportunity to explore selections of digitized material from the Teachers College Special Collections.

The Teachers College Record is a journal of research, analysis, and commentary in the field of education. It has been published continuously since 1900 by Teachers College, Columbia University.

Virtual Reference Library

This collection of Gale databases includes some 42 subject-specific components of the Gale OneFile suite of resources; In Context files for finding topic overviews; and significant gathering of e-books, journals, literary indexes, and business-related information sources.

 

WestlawNext Campus Research Law + News + Business *

WestlawNext Campus Research is a database for legal research, providing case summaries and studies, regulations, and more.  It includes cases, statutes and court rules, regulations, administrative decisions and guidance, secondary sources, briefs, proposed and enacted legislation, and proposed and adopted regulations.  In addition, the database provides access to Federal materials, state materials, and a variety of practice areas (from admiralty and maritime, antitrust, and bankruptcy to real property, securities, and tax).
